How to play Telephone

  1. Everyone starts a book by writing a prompt.
  2. The books pass around the room. Each round you either draw the last prompt in the book you are holding or describe the last drawing.
  3. Prompts and drawings alternate, and every book ends on a written guess. Big groups keep books to three pages, so it stays quick.
  4. At the end, every book is revealed page by page. Tap 😂 on the pages that get you: the most laughed-at page and the Player who made the Room laugh most win.
  5. Just two of you? You play Duo Echo: each gets a secret word to draw, you guess each other's drawings and draw the guesses, then see how far each word drifted.

Before you start

How many people do you need?
Two to twelve. Two play Duo Echo, a quick version built for a pair.
How long does it take?
About four minutes for two, and five to ten for a group.
Is Telephone free?
Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone or computer, with no download, no account and nothing to pay. One person starts a Room and sends the link.

2-8 playersSame BrainCouples, friends, siblings, and any other pair pick from the same playful choices, then reveal together and build a matching streak.2-8 playersKnow Me?One Player answers a playful choice privately. Everyone else predicts it, then every pick reveals together — no compatibility grades attached.2-8 playersFinish My SentenceEveryone gets one sentence starter and writes a short ending. The lines type out one by one, then you each give the other's line a reaction that scores: Too accurate, Same energy, Plot twist or Best line. Write the same thing and it's a JINX.2-8 playersTiny DebateSay where you stand on a silly claim, get dealt the side against your partner, and make a short case. Then each of you answers: did that change your mind? Win them over and you score. Nobody scores off their own mind.2-8 playersRank UsEveryone privately ranks the same five items. Lobble highlights exact matches and the funniest gap without treating differences as failure.2-8 playersThe DialEach card has two ends, like Cold and Hot. One of you sees a hidden spot between them and gives a short clue; the other turns the needle to find it. The closer it lands, the more you score together, and you swap every round.2-12 playersRapid FireTwo rounds of eight quick this-or-thats, like Call or Text. You each answer on your own phone with five seconds a prompt, call how many you think you matched, then see who picked what. Two of you score together; a group scores for picking the same as most people.2 playersDouble AgentYou're locked in a museum after closing. One of you has the floor plan, the other has the night guard's clipboard, and neither can see the other's screen. Talk your way through three locks before the clock runs out, then swap roles.2-4 playersThe Birthday HeistThe surprise party starts in twenty minutes and the cake is locked in a bakery. Everyone gets a role, a private clue and a secret goal, then four group choices decide which of six endings you get. Roles change every time you play.2-12 playersPunchlineEveryone writes answers on their phone, the room votes head-to-head, and the best line becomes a share card. Two of you play a Face-Off and rate each other's lines.2-12 playersDraw & GuessOne Player draws while everyone else guesses. With exactly two Players, Duo Sketch offers one shared streak and rotates the drawer every word.2-12 playersMost Likely ToRead the prompt, vote for the friend who fits it best, and let the room explain itself.2-12 playersRoast BattleTwo stage players answer a prompt, everyone else judges, and the scoreboard keeps the room honest.
